As friends and family know, I’ve been on the adventure of a lifetime. In July of 2019 I quit my job in New Orleans. Less than two weeks later, I bought a travel trailer and hit the road in search of seasonal work. Less than a week after that, I started work at a wonderful place on the Atlantic coast in Ogunquit, Maine. And so it began. The initial objective was to take a break from urban life. I wanted to see and do as much as possible in this big, beautiful country for a couple of years, and hopefully not go into debt in the process. I’ve always believed that life is for living, right now, and I alone am responsible for my own fun. So, I put my money where my mouth is, and away I went. Now the four-year mark is in my rear-view mirror, and I’ve realized I have no intention of stopping this wonderful ride. I’ve learned what it’s like to treated like a local, but still be able to play like a tourist. I’ve learned how diverse this great land is, yet how much we all have in common. I’ve learned that every one and every place has its own unique story to tell, if you’re willing listen. And now, I’m excited to share some those stories with you.
